Allison's Inspiring Journey
Managed With Care Senior Services, LLC was started in 2023 by me, Allison Shevlin, of Boynton Beach, FL. I was born and raised in Morristown, NJ, and attended college at Towson University in Towson, MD. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology. While studying at Towson, I lost my grandmother who had a profound impact on my decision to pursue a degree in aging. I have fond memories of spending Saturday nights at her home, watching Golden Girls and painting her nails. My mission then began to be actively involved in helping elders stay safe and happy in their homes. I started out working in communities varying from Independent and Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care. I bring 20+years of experience in the field of Gerontology, and decided to launch Managed With Care Senior Services, LLC to help elders remain in their desired settings as safely and comfortably as possible. I provide extensive knowledge and support to each client I partner with.

In 2021, my Mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach cancer. My parents had recently moved to Florida, knowing I would be their advocate as they aged. I was able to facilitate doctor’s appointments, treatments, coordinate care, and eventual Hospice needs, before my Mother passed on October 13th 2021.
My Mother’s favorite flower was the hydrangea. The hydrangea represents gratitude, grace, and beauty. It also symbolizes sincere emotions, gratitude and deep understanding.

I am grateful I had the ability to be a strong advocate for my Mother in her time of need. My deep understanding of the aging process helped facilitate the best care possible for her. My passion is deeply connected to what the hydrangea represents.
